User Ergonomics of High Volume Manual Injections

15:40 - 16:15

In considering high volume subcutaneous injections, a user-centric approach must be applied to ensure product presentations meet the needs and expectations of clinical sites. Needle gauge plays a role in the injection experience for the patient, as well as the experience of the nurse administering therapy. Additionally, formulation viscosity, volume, and syringe size all impact the mechanics and ergonomics of manual injections. Research conducted with practising nurses will be presented to inform product design in this space.
